IOS 17 … Wow!!!

Just had a chance to preview and listen to Apple’s teasure of IOS 17 (beta 7), and I have to say it was the first time in sooo…many years – perhaps since the birth of iPhone – maybe? that the thought of switching a platform has crossed my mind. Of course, being the only person in a family of 5, who has not joined the Apple wagon sometimes leaves me feeling left out and a bit of inconveniece every now and then. But Hey, Apple – you don’t always get it right for me, that’s why. BUT, things are trending in a new direction now?

It’s been a long time since Apple had fallen behind their competitors (of course, this is my personal opinion only!) in both the Hardware and Software aspects. But this time, with what Apple is introducing for its IOS 17, many of those features and apps are quite appealing to me – from Stickers, Contact exchange via Airdrop, Live transcription of a voice mail, smarter (AI) text prediction, a new App “Journal,” and what I like the most “Standby.”

It’s just too bad that I just bought a new Galaxy Watch Classic 6, and if, and this is a BIG if I were to switch a platform, that would also mean getting a new watch…something I am not quite ready for yet.

So, this September, I will be very curious to see how this new IOS turns out to be. And of course, how Google is going to respond with its Android 14 – which is in the making.
